Broadcast giant Turner’s Toonix brand proposition spans video, games, and interactive content across multiple channels. But how to turn this into a one stop shop in a mobile and table app, for an audience that spans a wide age range, with age specific content?

What might be the value of combining all the content elements in a single platform? How might the content be integrated to best suit the range of kids in the target audience? What features might we add to bring value to both customer and business? Did the proposition marry the expectations of the kids with Turner’s business need?

A solution built on proven insights

Through qualitative research and focus groups, we understood from the children themselves what features they preferred and how they would use the app. We also learnt what features parents would be prepared to pay for, how much they might pay, and how they'd like to manage their family's relationship with the product.

With this very young audience our ability to put an MVP in their little hands rapidly drove fast track understanding and real insights.
