The role of a Senior Optimizely Developer at Candyspace is a senior-level position focused on crafting market-leading solutions for clients and championing the cause of technical excellence within the business. You should be a proficient Optimizely developer, ready to tackle any technical challenge or task with confidence and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the architecture, design and development of websites and digital solutions using Optimizely CMS, ensuring best practices and industry standards are met.
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, QAs, UX/UI specialists, and other developers to create seamless and responsive digital experiences.
  • Ensure the scalability, performance and security of Optimizely implementations through effective design and coding practices.
  • Conduct code reviews, unit testing and integration testing to maintain high-quality code and meet project deadlines.
  • Integrate Optimizely solutions with third-party applications and services to enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Provide technical leadership in problem-solving and decision-making processes.
  • Stay abreast of the latest Optimizely features, updates and best practices to drive innovation and technical excellence within the team.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

Core Competencies


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in web development, with at least 3 years focussed on Optimizely CMS and Commerce development
  • Strong proficiency in .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS) and DevOps practices highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to architect and deliver complex web solutions on the Optimizely platform
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • A portfolio of projects that showcases your expertise in Optimizely development



  • Optimizely CMS Developer Certification highly desirable



  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to independently manage and lead meetings, workshops and project playbacks to senior stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail and solution focussed at all times
  • Calm under pressure and ability to lead others in the same manner
  • Able to clearly present the relative merits and associated risks of any proposed project solutions
