Head of Growth

Job Description

The Head of Growth is a key position within Candyspace, responsible for spearheading the Sales and Marketing strategy and leading the Sales team to success.  Candyspace has exciting plans for growth over the next 2 to 5 years; with plans to double in size in the next 2 years.  You will be instrumental in leading this growth, together with the Commercial Director and Leadership team.   

 

A dynamic, driven, and entrepreneurial Sales, Marketing and Growth leader with strong strategic thinking skills as well as a hunger to build the businesses pipeline and brand, you will work alongside the other Heads of Department to hit and exceed business targets.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES 
  • Lead and manage the Sales and Marketing function as well as manage and grow the team, setting clear and SMART Kpis
  • Help define and implement the Sales and Marketing Strategy, together with the Leadership team, for driving new business targets, set and manage monthly, quarterly and annual goals for revenue growth across the team;  align with the Company vision and OKRS
  • Identify new business opportunities from all relevant sources: inbound sales, RFP projects and proactive new business development
  • Attend credentials meetings and run pitches with potential clients both to pre-qualify opportunities and then win business
  • Represent Candyspace to future clients and their industries both in personal meetings and at industry events and through external marketing and internal events, webinars and round-tables
  • Communicate and persuade clearly at Director and C-Suite level
  • Manage the sales pipeline including forecasting and mentoring of budget
  • Develop ongoing improvements to the process of prospecting, qualifying and closing key accounts
  • Remain up to date on all areas of the company’s strategy, products and vision; evangelizing those to clients and through marketing
  • Organise and run weekly sales and marketing team meetings - review accounts, goals, forward outlook at strategy at all times
  • Develop key sales metrics, monitor sales activity, analyse performance, identify area for development and report to the Leadership Team and Board

PERSON PROFILE 
  • A proven track record of fast tracking Sales growth within an agency
  • Experienced at winning multi-million pound accounts
  • Ability to lead and plan Marketing Strategy 
  • Demonstrate strong business and commercial acumen with a real desire to drive business success
  • High achiever with excellent attention to detail and a high level of initiative, self-motivation and ambition
  • Dedicated, reliable and committed to exceeding expectations
  • Excellent communicator who can adapt communication styles to suit different clients, colleagues and audiences
  • Able to manage, guide and lead a team
  • Maintains a calm and professional demeanour at all times, even when working under pressure
  • Will question and challenge when things do not look right
  • Sees ‘the bigger picture’
