Account Director / Senior Account Manager

Candyspace is looking for a motivated and ambitious Account Director, or Senior Account Manager who is looking to make their next step upwards. We are an independent cross-screen digital agency, backed by the connections and resources of WPP, with offices in London, Paris, New York, and Los Angeles. We work with leading brands including Dell, Paramount Pictures, Colgate-Palmolive, and Riddell. The Account Director is responsible for the day-to-day running of key client accounts and supporting the business development process. The ideal candidate will blend a passion for digital creative excellence, along with a strong understanding of media. Experience with consumer packaged goods would be a significant asset.

Responsibilities and required knowledge

Own and manage the day-to-day running of key accounts

Become trusted and knowledgeable partner for the client in all areas of digital marketing

Stay apprised of latest industry news, standards, and opportunities and intelligently communicate these to the client

Display industry leading knowledge across both digital media and creative

Take briefs and understanding client requirements – both stated and non-stated

Devise and scope creative and technical solutions with combined company team that meet client objectives

Present solutions and ensuring the client fully understands all areas of the proposal

Liaise with the client on a daily basis ensuring expectations are constantly met

Establish and maintain relationship with key media partners to gain support for Candyspace activity

Grow account revenue and establishing new opportunities in line with agreed account targets

Manage relationship with WPP partner agencies, and with the client directly

Manage all processes and paperwork for efficient billing and on boarding of new clients

Prepare and maintain weekly account status meetings with CEO, North America

Identify opportunities to grow the account and feeding these back to the CEO, North America

Support the Client Services team in the implementation of the Sales Strategy

Cross-sell company services (insight, digital marketing, media planning/buying) to clients

Generate ideas and proposals in response to prospect briefs

Identify potential sectors and clients to target and feed these back to the CEO, North America

Attend new business meetings where required to follow-up lead generation

Network within industry and uncover opportunities for the business

Follow-up potential leads and regularly and accurately update new business tracking documents

Provide market research, trends and insights to help clients and the company better understand consumer and technology trends

Use new trends and innovations to provide new revenue opportunities for the company

Person profile

Turned on by technology and is fascinated by the continual evolution of the Internet and digital marketing

A high achiever with excellent attention to detail

Dedicated, reliable and committed to exceeding client expectations

Passionate about developing high quality work and products for clients

Experience delivering six figure marketing campaigns across mobile, tablet, and desktop

Strong understanding of the digital media eco-system, including; multiple ad servers, creative platforms, and reporting and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture etc.

Must be able to construct well thought-out presentations, with a clear narrative and objective

Familiarity with all industry terminology across media and creative (CPM, CTR, Reach, Frequency, CPI etc.)

Experience with all areas of creative within media – display, social, mobile video, and rich media

Must be adept in use of MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

Must be a very competent writer of business letters, quotations, and proposals

Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator

Ability to manage major accounts and large contracts

Must be able to show clear evidence of account growth and development

Able to operate efficiently with geographically diverse internal team, and adept at navigating complex partner agency and client structures

Solid understanding of mobile and web technologies (Native App Development, Web)

Proven experience developing digital products for blue-chip clients

Experience working in Agile methodology a bonus

A self-starter with an entrepreneurial flair for developing and growing client relationships and revenue

A team player used to working collaboratively with Creatives, Developers, and Producers within high pressured, creative environment

Attention to detail and focused on producing high quality work
